Greylock Board Re-Elects Directors and Officers for 2008
Rinaldi Maintains Role as Chairman

May 12, 2008 Pittsfield – Greylock’s volunteer Board of Directors elected a slate of officers to 12-month terms. Anthony Rinaldi was re-elected to the post of Chairman, Sheila LaBarbera was elected Vice Chairman, and Linda Porter was elected Clerk/Treasurer.

“I am honored to continue serving as Board Chairman,” Rinaldi said. “In this time of economic uncertainty, and as families and businesses seek the resources needed for growth, Greylock’s role as a community lender becomes even more critical. We will continue to work hard on initiatives that promote strategic growth and help build up the communities we serve.”

Rinaldi has served on the Credit Union board since 1994. He is in his fourth year serving as the Chairman of the Board. Tony presently works in fiscal administration at Berkshire Health Systems, and previously was chief financial officer of Hillcrest Hospital for 12 years. A graduate of Boston College School of Management, he holds a bachelor's degree in accounting. As Chairman of the Board, Rinaldi chairs the Governance and Strategic Planning committees. A native of Adams, he now lives in Richmond with his wife, Wendy, and their children, Jordan, Anna, and Rachael. He is a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Hospital Financial Association, and was a former finance committee member for the Town of Adams.

LaBarbera joined the board in 1999 and recently served as Clerk/Treasurer. She is chairman of the Golf Committee, and a member of the Asset/Liability Committee, Community Support, Governance, and Personnel committees. She has a bachelor's and a master's degree in business administration, both from Western New England College. She is employed by the Berkshire County Retirement Board as the retirement systems executive administrator. Sheila is a graduate of the Institute for Chartered Pension Professionals, certified in pension benefit analysis and investment portfolio management. She served on the Pittsfield City Council from 1986 to 1992, and lives in Pittsfield with her husband, Douglas Joseph.

Porter joined the Greylock board in August 2000. An educator in Pittsfield for 28 years, she has recently retired as the Deputy Superintendent of Schools. She was formerly the principal of Herberg Middle School, and Stearns Elementary School, a demonstration school that was named one of the eight Carnegie Schools in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is the chairman of Greylock’s Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) and also serves on the Building, ByLaws, Governance and Information Systems committees. Linda has a bachelor's and a master's degree in administration from North Adams State College. She previously served on the board of directors of another credit union for 10 years. Linda lives in Pittsfield and is the mother of six grown children and grandmother of 13.
