Greylock Federal Credit Union has developed an SBA Online Educational Series aimed at providing guidance for small businesses that are working with the Small Business Administration for the Paycheck Protection Program. A recording of the first installment is now on Greylock’s business banking webpage and covers the basics of applying to the program. The second webinar, to be recorded live on Monday, May 18th at 3:00 p.m., will feature Attorney Dennis Egan, Accountant Gary Moynihan and Greylock’s Chief Lending Officer Jodi Rathbun-Briggs for an outline of the program’s Loan Forgiveness plan followed by a time for Questions and Answers. Registration is required to attend the live webinar at www.greylock.org/sbasession.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for many small businesses,” said Greylock’s Chief Lending Officer, Jodi Rathbun-Briggs. “Business owners of color and immigrant entrepreneurs may be especially at risk of missing out on opportunities to obtain federal assistance. The first session was designed to help small business owners decide whether it makes sense to pursue a loan under the PPP.”

This Educational Series was inspired by the recent “Trickle Up Economy: Webinar and Roundtable” hosted by the NAACP-Berkshire County Branch, Multicultural BRIDGE, and the Berkshire Black Economic Council. Greylock will continue the series as needs evolve.
