Please be aware that there is an active text scam again running in the Berkshires. Greylock members and non-members have made us aware that they have received texts referencing the fact that their debit card has been deactivated or compromised and the must call a specific number to reactivate it.
The scam does not currently reference Greylock Federal directly. The reference today is to a "Berkshire Alert" with no reference to a financial institution.
Greylock's advice to members and non-members remains the same:
PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND to email, phone or text message scams that ask you for your account number, credit card number, and personal identification numbers. Messages that ask for this type of information are fraudulent, and should be reported immediately.
If for any reason you did provide your debit card information, please call Greylock during regular business hours at (413) 236-4000 or (800) 207-5555.
