March 31, 2016 – Pittsfield – Greylock Federal Credit Union (GFCU) announced that its annual Berkshire United Way Campaign raised a total of $126,509. Greylock employees donated $87,404.00 through payroll deductions and raised an additional $8,105 through special fund raisers. Two-hundred-fifty-seven of the Credit Union’s employees (93% percent) donated to the 2015 campaign drive. Greylock provided corporate support for the campaign with $31,000.00, plus half the cost of the 2015 Ford Fiesta donated for the annual car raffle through Greylock’s partnership with Johnson Dealerships.

Greylock President John L. Bissell acknowledged the efforts of Greylock’s staff on behalf of Berkshire United Way. “Greylock employees once again demonstrated their generosity and concern for the local community through their donations to the Berkshire United Way. The United Way touches the lives of many deserving people and I am very proud of the way our people came through to support this important work.”

The winner of the 2015 Ford Fiesta, donated by Greylock and Johnson Dealerships, was Kathy Quinn of Williamstown, an employee of Berkshire Children and Families. The car giveaway also marked the 16th year that Greylock Federal Credit Union and Johnson Dealerships have sponsored the drawing which allows the winner to choose between a new car or cash.

Bissell thanked all the Greylock employees who volunteered to work on the Campaign. Participants included: Co-captains Ann Palmer and Jean Noel; Committee members Terry Arpante, Jane Curtin, Dan Dillon, Eric Drayman, Anna Flynn, Kate Gelinas, Mark Kaley, Joe Maffuccio, Pete Mirante, Gerry Murray, Kathie O’Neil, Deb Prew, Deb Wagner, and Grace Vallone. Liz Errichetto served as BUW Workplace Campaign Executive during the Berkshire County campaign.
