June 30, 2017 – Pittsfield, MA – Greylock Federal Credit Union has announced the hiring of Rebecca Riordan as VP/Human Resources. Riordan replaces Gerry Murray, VP/Manager of Human Resources, who is relocating to pursue a new career opportunity.

“Gerry’s expertise and knowledge were instrumental in helping to expand the capabilities of the Greylock HR department. We wish him well in his new endeavor and the next phase of his career,” said Greylock President/CEO John L. Bissell. “We are fortunate to have someone with Rebecca’s qualifications take over the leadership of our HR department. She has years of experience and a strong understanding of the business challenges and opportunities in Berkshire County. We are excited to welcome her to the Greylock family.”

Riordan, has held Human Resources leadership and management roles since the 1980’s. Most recently she was the VP/Human Resources at Country Curtains, Stockbridge, MA, where she worked for more than 20 years. Riordan was responsible for managing all of Country Curtains’ HR functions in the company’s stores and factories in 12 different states. Previously, from 1991 to 1997, she held several positions, including Human Resources Manager at Steinbach Department Stores, in Albany and White Plains, NY. From 1985 to 1991 Riordan worked at Jordan Marsh Department Stores, in Albany, NY and Boston, MA, holding management positions in the sales, human resources and training areas. She graduated from the State University of New York, College at New Paltz, NY in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Riordan volunteers on the Town of Lee, MA Personnel Committee; Lee, MA Visiting Nurse Association Personnel Committee; and with the Berkshire Compact for Education. She has previously volunteered with the Cub Scouts of Rensselaer County and the Berkshire United Way. She resides in Nassau, NY.
