You’ve probably heard about recently passed legislation that includes a second round of stimulus checks. Here is some helpful information:

When will I receive a second stimulus payment?

Greylock does not have advanced knowledge of when stimulus checks will be deposited.

As of December 31, 2020, payment disbursement has already begun. If you already have your direct payment information on file with the IRS, you will likely see the payments first.

To check payment status and confirm payment type, visit the IRS website by clicking here.

The IRS will use direct deposit information provided in 2019 tax returns to begin issuing direct deposits to eligible recipients. If you do not have direct deposit information on file with the IRS or you provided information for an account that is now closed, you will be mailed your payment instead.

How much will I receive with the second stimulus payment?

The full amount of the stimulus payments and applicable income levels have yet to be defined.

However, the recovery bill that President Trump signed currently includes direct payments up to $600 to eligible adults, plus $600 per child dependent.

Can I be notified if I receive a second stimulus payment?

You can choose to be alerted whenever a deposit is made in your account by setting up transaction alerts in online banking or the mobile app.

Due to increased volume, access to online banking and the mobile app may be intermittent. Please be patient.

Greylock and the IRS will never call you and ask for personal information. Phishing scams and fraudsters may try to take advantage of this second round of stimulus payments. Please be alert.
