In recognition of Earth Day, here are some environmentally friendly steps you can take at Greylock to help the planet and simplify your life in the process.
Go paperless
- eDocuments: Swap out the paper and sign up for Greylock’s eDocuments. Through the eDocs portal, you’ll have instant access to Member statements, loan bills, tax statements, and important notifications.
- Direct deposit: Switch to direct deposit for easy and convenient access to your funds when you need it.
- Digital banking: Coming this spring, Greylock will be rolling out new digital banking, available on both mobile and online platforms. Eco-friendly loans
- Green loans: Interested in making a few renovations while still being environmentally conscious? Greylock offer loans specifically for environmentally friendly purposes, such as solar panel installation, replacing/installing heating, cooling and water systems, repairing or replacing a roof, adding insulation, purchasing new energy efficient appliances, replacing or sealing windows and doors, adding energy-efficient lighting, or installing ceiling fans. To learn more, visit here.
- Electric vehicle financing: If an electric vehicle is on your list, Greylock offers special loan options for electric vehicles. Borrowers will enjoy 0.50% off their lowest qualifying auto loan rate. Available for new, used, and refinancing electric vehicles (excludes hybrids).
Recycle and reuse
- Recycle old papers: If you are still receiving paper statements, and perhaps other documents containing your personal information, you’ll want to shred these items to protect your privacy. To assist, Greylock, in conjunction with the Berkshire United Way, will be hosting Shred Day on Saturday, May 3. From 9 a.m. to noon, individuals can drop-off personal documents for shredding at the corner of South Street and Clinton Avenue in Pittsfield. Please note the event is not intended for commercial shredding.
