December 21, 2016 - PITTSFIELD – Greylock Federal Credit Union announced the selection of Pete Lopez as the newest member of the Credit Union’s volunteer Board of Directors. Lopez fills the Board seat vacated by Robert Coco who stepped down earlier this year.

Board Chair Gerard E. Burke said, “As the newest member of our volunteer Board, Pete’s unique combination of IT, corporate, and entrepreneurial experience will be a welcome addition. In a credit union environment where technology has a growing influence over how we do business, Pete’s impressive background in IT governance is a great complement to our Board and management team.”

Lopez currently owns and operates The Fieldhouse at Canaan, an athletic training facility in Canaan, NY. Previously, he was vice president, IT Products at Tyco International, Princeton, NJ. Lopez spent decades in senior management IT positions within the GE family of companies. He continued with SABIC following their acquisition of GE Plastics in 2007. Most recently, from 2010-2013, he served as Business Transformation Leader at SABIC’s Innovative Plastics Division, Pittsfield. Previously, in 2009, he was Chief Information Officer for SABIC Shared Services, also in Pittsfield. Lopez has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. He lives in Richmond with his wife Kim and has three children.
