Greylock Federal Credit Union is hosting a free celebration 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5 at its Kellogg Street location to kick off its Youth Week festivities, which run through Aug. 10.
This year’s event is titled “The Amazing Saving Race” and youth up to 17 can enjoy free giveaways, face painting, raffles, food and ice cream, as well as fun and educational activities. The first 150 attendees will receive a free Greylock swag bag.
Krispy Cones will be on hand serving hot dogs and hamburgers and Operation Copsicle, led by Pittsfield Police Department, will be sharing ice cream.
“When we talk about financial wellness, it all starts with learning how to manage money,” said Greylock’s Vice President, Director of Community Development, Cindy Shogry-Raimer. “The earlier we start to learn how to manage our money, the better prepared we’ll be for our financial journey”
Throughout Youth Week, Greylock Members, age 17 and younger, can visit any branch and enjoy free giveaways, raffles, a new Youth Club CD special and participated in a free workshop on how to keep your money safe in today’s fast-paced digital world.
