Greylock Federal Credit Union invites the community to join in celebration of Women’s History Month throughout the month of March. Members and employees are also encouraged to wear red on Monday, March 9th in honor of International Women’s Day. All women who visit a Greylock branch that day will receive a red carnation as a token of appreciation.

Throughout the month of March, Greylock will be conducting Days of Caring projects in the community. Greylock employees donate their time and services for area non-profit organizations to better the lives of local women. This year, projects will be completed for: Habitat for Humanity; Construct Inc; Berkshire United Way; Louison House; Child Care of the Berkshires; Berkshire County ARC; Berkshire Community Action Council; the Gladys Allen Brigham Center; and Berkshire Family YMCA.

Through its Partners in Education relationship with Williams Elementary School, Greylock will be displaying student artwork in its West Street and Elm Street branches. The works represent student creations in response to “My Favorite woman is ____.”

Greylock is committed to gender equality in the workplace and in the community throughout the year and supports efforts that encourage female empowerment such as the Rites of Passage and Empowerment, WAM Theater, Berkshire Business and Professional Women, Elizabeth Freeman Center, Flying Cloud Institute, Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts and Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center. Greylock also maintains an internal Women’s Leadership Committee that informs and guides management around career opportunities and professional collaboration, work life balance, corporate culture, mentor opportunities, and philanthropic vision.
